Sri Raghavendra College of Education is a teacher-education institution at Nannur, Orvakal Mandal, in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh, established and run by the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Education Society.
The college was founded with a single aim: to prepare capable, principled teachers for the schools of Kurnool district and the wider Rayalaseema region. Everything the institution does — the way the timetable is built, the laboratories it maintains, the staff it appoints — follows from that aim.
Teacher education is a practical discipline. A graduate leaves here having planned lessons, prepared teaching aids, handled a laboratory, taken a class and been observed doing it. The college is organised so that this practice is possible rather than merely described.
The college is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education, approved by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, and affiliated to Rayalaseema University, Kurnool, under college code SRCAPP2368.
No fee is collected from students beyond the fee allotted by the Government. There are no additional charges, deposits or levies of any kind. Families should be able to plan the cost of a B.Ed. degree with certainty.
All sixteen teaching posts recognised under NCTE norms are held by permanent, regular, full-time staff — not by visiting or part-time appointments. The signed statement of staff is published on this website.
Staff particulars, infrastructure statements, the student list and the Society's audited accounts are all available here as downloadable documents, exactly as filed with the University and the auditors.
